# New-Role

Creates a new Sitecore role.

## Syntax

New-Role \[-Identity] \<AccountIdentity>

## Detailed Description

The New-Role command creates a new Sitecore role.

## Parameters

### -Identity \<AccountIdentity>

Role name including domain. If no domain is specified - 'sitecore' will be used as the default value
